Have you always wanted to raise awareness and funds through a Walk to D'feet MND but the place and/or time didn't suit you? Well, 2017 is your year to succeed!

This MND Week, we are challenging you to walk, cycle or run 1KM for EVERY PERSON with MND in your local region. The challenge starts on 6 May and ends on 21 June which is MND Global Day. Check out our map to see how many people with MND are in your area and start fundraising.

/Global%20MND%20Day%202018!

Every year the International Alliance of ALS/MND Associations marks 21 June as the global day of recognition of ALS/MND – a disease that affects over 400,000 of the world's population, and kills over 100,000 people every year.

We invite you to host a fundraising event on this day, make a donation , wear your MND hoodie and beanie and have a conversation with your work colleagues/friends to help raise awareness.

Caring for patients and families with MND is an education day for community and health workers facilitated by South West Healthcare.

Speakers: Melanie Davies & Ruth Morrison, Barwon Health

Learning outcomes:
--> Understanding of MND, symptoms and diagnosis
--> Symptom management of MND
--> Understanding the role of multidisciplinary care in MND
--> Understanding the role of Palliative Care in MND.
